Dili, January 16, 2025. SERVE I.P. received a visit from the President of Commission D, Mr. Ricardo Batista, accompanied by his structure. The objective of the visit was to monitor the progress of the execution of the 2024 General State Budget and evaluate the activities carried out, as well as those in the planning phase for the year 2025.
The Executive Director of SERVE I.P, Mr. Fausto Soares Dias, presented detailed information about the services provided by SERVE I.P., including the role and responsibilities of this public institution, responsible for commercial registration and licensing. SERVE I.P. focuses on facilitating services through a one-stop shop and includes the following activities:
• Registration of new businesses.
• License renewal.
• Change of documents.
• Resolution and legalization.
• Support in managing document files.
• Creation and management of a sectoral database.
Based on Decree-Law 35/2012, SERVE I.P. leads efforts to support entrepreneurs and commercial companies in East Timor.
The President of Committee D, Mr. Ricardo Batista, expressed his gratitude to the Executive Director and the structure of SERVE I.P. for the work done with dedication. Commission D prioritizes evaluating ministries and institutions in 2025, including SERVE I.P., to identify difficulties and assess work capabilities.
The importance of this visit lies in strengthening collaboration between Committee D and SERVE I.P., in monitoring and evaluating the implementation of programs, with a view to increasing the transparency, efficiency and effectiveness of public services in Timor-Leste.
