Friday, 11 november, 2022, Executive Director of SERVE, IP. Mr. Florêncio Da Conceição Sanches participate in the Public Consultation on the Accession of Timor-Leste to the World Trade Organization (WTO) at Palacio das Cinzas, Caicoli, Dii, Timor-Leste.

Vice Minister of Health Ministry Mr. Bonifácio Mau Coli dos Reis appreciate the technical team leaded by Minister Coordinator of Economic Affairs, Mr. Joaquim Amaral, relatively to the process of preparing Timor-Leste to join the World Trade Organization (WTO). The Vice-Minister appreciate multi-sectorial efforts to ensure that Timor-Leste is prepared to enter or join this large organization. Ms. Maria Martins da Silva, as a representative of the team, explain to the audience what WTO is to regulate international trade, and its main purpose to ensure that trade is run quickly and as possible. She sais this will permit resolve commercial disputes and build commercial cooperation capacity.

This Public Consultation of the state Institutions of Timor-Leste took place at Palacio das Cinzas and was attended by the Director General of the WTO, Mrs Odete Viegas, General Directors, National Directors of relevant Ministries, WTO team and all distinguished guests.
