SERVE launched the “One-Day Registration Process” for Sole Trader and Company of Single Shareholder with Limited Liability

Díli, April 24 2014 - SERVE launched a new service whereby the registration of Sole Trader and Company of Single Shareholders with Limited Liability would just take one (1) day. This process is put in place as an effort to further facilitate the entry or registration of new businesses.
The Government of Timor-Leste, comprise of Ministry of Justice (MJ), Ministry of Finance (MF) and Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Environment (MCIA), in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC-WBG), developed and implemented in June 2013, SERVE: Service for Registration and Verification of Entrepreneurs. Also known as "One-Stop-Shop", SERVE has facilitated the registration of new businesses, simplifying the process for registration and Business Licensing.
It was also take part oficially by some Government members, as the Deputy Minister of Justice, Dr. Ivo Valente; Secretary of State for Support and Promotion of the Private Sector (SEAPRI), Ms. Veneranda Lemos; and Director of the National Directorate of Registries and Notaries, Dra. Maria do Rosário Fátima C. de Araújo, Head of Deparment for the National Directorate of Commerce (MCIA), Ms. Natalina M. A. da Costa.
Also present were important partners and stakeholders in the services provided by SERVE, including representatives of law firms, Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI-TL), Financial Institutions and other associations of entrepreneurs and professionals.
Currently, the SERVE also has the support from SEAPRI (Secretary of State for the Support and Promotion of the Private Sector) for its operation and services.
